What is YPAR?
YPAR (Youth Participatory Action Research) is a new type of research that involves students in the scientific process as researchers in the hopes of understanding problems at the student level.
We work with teams of students by first informing them about current and historic trends through data, before teaching them different scientific methods and leaving them to form their own research question that they get to investigate and present.

After thorough research, the students sit back and look at the data they collected firsthand before working with teachers and other administrators to take action!
To see examples of student questions and data, checkout what we have under the YPAR Cohorts! Or, if you want to see other YPAR projects, check out our sister project CS-LISTEN.
